I have five domains and I would like to manage them from one Revo Install. They are all on the same host. I understand the contexts (or so I think) but I am unsure about the Gateway.
The documentation gives several methods of going about this and I have found the Gateway Plugin and Context Router Plugin as well. My question, which is the easiest, most painless way to connect all of my domains to the one install. I don't want sub domains. I want them to display on the web as root domains.
I did a test run yesterday. Managed to get the contexts set and then when I logged out I couldn't get back in. So I deleted the whole shebang and want to start from scratch the right way.
The state of my domains now:
1. A static business site-- more or less a portfolio site. Had a php problem yesterday, but today it magically appeared again. This site is in ModX Evolution. I understand that it will probably be easier to put its templates fresh into Revo and rebuild the content rather than try to migrate. That's not a problem for me.
2. A Revo Blog -- well not yet. I have an older install of Revo there but could never get quip to work so right now it's just an "out of order page".
3. My poetry blog. Screwed it up in Wordpress so I took it down. Right now it's also just an "out of order, down for maintenance" static page. This might be the one to use for a new Revo Install.
4. Personal Blog, presently in WordPress. Miracle of miracles it still works. I'm hoping to port the articles (and comments?) into Revo once I get it going.
5. Another blog on the environment, presently in WordPress. I've neglected it because I have grown to hate WordPress since I began using ModX. I have several guest posts on this blog and am hoping to port the posts and comments into Revo.
Any advice you can give me will sure be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
