Anyone here have a non showing rich text editor

    Hi all
    running the following
    MODX Revolution 2.2.1-pl (traditional)
    PHP Version 5.2.17
    OS. Linux Apache running php5 as a cgi application

    Tinymce or Codemirror do not run on the site even RTEs are supposed to be enabled.
    I'm not sure if it is even a modx problem there were some issues with permissions.

    Has anyone else here have a similar problem.

      I once had a problem with a site where the server was configured to only allow scripts to run that were no more than four levels deep in the file folder structure. The client had to get their hosting tech support to alllow deeper levels for TinyMCE and the file browser to work.

        thanks for the reply sottwell I have installed another modxcms on the same webspace (but not in the root) and that worked fine. I'm hoping that the hosting company messed up the permissions at the time I installed the CMSA andcertain files were not written to the server. I'll probably do reinstall tonight.
