I’m currently looking at developing a website for a free weekly magazine and I’ve decided to use modx for the backend.

Basically, I want an online version of the magazine to be available within a couple of hours of the hard copies being delivered. To make this even remotely viable I think it’s fairly obvious the content will need to be already uploaded, and just waiting to be published when the hard copy arrives. The problem I have is that I can’t work out how to publish groups of articles at once, and the prospect of publishing each individual page (at last count ~46 / week) doesn’t really appeal.

Is there any way to do this, or is there a different way I should be approaching the problem.

    Cheers

MODx ships with a module called "Doc Manager"
Go to Modules > Doc Manager, then select the "Other properties" tab.

You can publish or unpublish any number of documents with one click.

Amongst other remedial repetitive tasks. Publishing and unpublishing groups of documents is just one of things this great module does. It is perfect for most "batch" or "bulk" document work.
