adding some extra bits to a URL

From http://www.olson.bz/index.php?id=79 have a Print Link that should pass a variable to a URL along these lines

From http://www.olson.bz/index.php?id=4009&recipe=79

which sends the browser to the document with the id 4009 in Firefox but in IE it sends it back to the homepage.

Is there an alternative method I can use?

Firstly, thanks for answering.

That was the initial plan, a media="print" CSS document, but unfortunately we need something a little special. We want to use a completely new layout so that the user can print them out as a type of back to back card.

Whilst answering your reply, I have found the solution...and it’s pretty embarrassing. The document wasn’t published, I was logged in with FF but not IE.
