Hi there, I've been using NewsPublisher 1.4.1 with Revo 2.2.4 without problem, however, after changing my template that I was using for my resource with the snippet call as follows:

    [[!NewsPublisher? &show=`pagetitle,longtitle,pub_date,content,template,NewsFilterTv` &initrte=`1` &initdatepicker=`1` &rtcontent=`1` &parentid=`14` &published=`1` &captions=`content:Enter News` &tinyheight=`200px` &tinywidth=`300px` &cssfile=`npStyle.css` ]]

I am getting the following message on the front-end:

Sorry . . . There were one or more problems in producing the form:You want to display a TV that is not attached to this template. Template: 3 ---- TV: NewsFilterTv

I am not using Template 3, I'm using Template 5 and the TV is assigned to Template 5.

I have tried clearing the cache both from within manager and manually but with no effect.

If I remove the TV from the snippet call the form renders, as soon as I put the TV back in it fails.

Have tried creating a new TV but it still seems stuck with the original options. Anyone else had this problem, or am I missing something fundamental?

Thanks [ed. note: boomerang last edited this post 14 years, 1 month ago.]

I haven't seen that. Note that the Template it's talking about is the template of the page you're editing in NewsPublisher, not the Template of the NewsPublisher form. If you don't set the &template property in the NP tag, it will use the site's default template (which might be Template 3).

Thanks for getting back so quickly Bob.

The NP was indeed using the default template (id 3), have now set the &template to 5 and it works perfectly.

        Many thanks smiley
