    Web Server: PHP Version 5.3.8
    Gentoo Linux Version 3.2.1
    Database: mySQL 5.0.91

    MODx: Revolution 2.2.4

I recently installed Revolution 2.2.4 onto my web server and everything installed correctly as far as I can tell. My only issue is with templates. I can download and install templates just fine and even assign a template to a particular resource but when I go to view it I only see text. A few months ago I installed a slightly older version of revolution onto my localhost server as a testing playground and everything worked perfect. I am pretty new to MODx so my issue is probably something very simple in which I am overlooking. Sorry if this is a repeat question but I have looked everywhere and have yet to find anything related to my problem. If anyone has some insight as to a solution for my problem it would be greatly appreciated.

P.S. Many times I have seen that issue with templates relate to conflicting timezone values. I have checked to make sure that all the values are synced and correct.

Did you put a CSS file into the assets directory and change or place the path into the head of the template file? You've got to have a css file for any styles to come through.

When I have this problem, I usually check the page source and click on the link to my css from the source. If your path is correct, it will display your css in the browser. If it doesn't, your path isn't right.

You also might want to validate the page, and the css file. I've had a missed closing brace in a css file completely destroy a whole site.

One often overlooked issue when serving CSS is to insure that it the server is sending back the right MIME type. Some browsers account for the discrepancy and some do not. Chrome, for instance, will give a warning stating that the CSS page was served as HTML but being interpreted as CSS.
