I have a problem to configure the .htaccess file in a correct way to get it to work with my server.

the address to the modx site is something like:

    http://exam-ple.com/new.example.com/

Its on an appache server I think and the folder on the server is:

    var/www/new.example.com/

And this is what I use in the .htaccess file:

    # // Alias for MODx CMS (board)
    Alias /board/ "/var/www/new.example.com/"

    # Friendly URLs Part
    RewriteEngine On
    RewriteBase /
    #RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} .
    RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
    RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d

    # Force all pages to go to www.domain.com for SEO
    #RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} !^exam-ple\.com/new\.example\.com\. [NC]
    #RewriteRule (.*) http://exam-ple.com/new.example.com/$1 [R=301,L]

    # Friendly URLs
    RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
    RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
    RewriteRule ^(.*)$ /board/index.php?q=$1 [L,QSA]

    # Additional Settings Follow
    BrowserMatch "MSIE" brokenvary=1
    BrowserMatch "Mozilla/4.[0-9]{2}" brokenvary=1
    BrowserMatch "Opera" !brokenvary
    SetEnvIf brokenvary 1 force-no-vary

I tried to implement the solution in this thread: https://forums.modx.com/thread/?thread=5185&page=
But I can't seem to figure out whats wrong and I keep getting the 404 error.

The MODx system settings are setup like they should be, because its working for me on a different site with a different server.

    Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks [ed. note: phacer last edited this post 14 years, 2 months ago.]
