I've been working for some time on a developer's blog for myself and I wanted a particular organization and the ability to include collaborators and speak as a team. Then I realized how much time we, as developers, all spend wanting to talk about our work. Making a blog in MODx is pretty simple, but a lot of developers currently don't use MODx. So, the answer hit me:
Why not make a social networking blog catering toward developers, teams and their projects? It's not a silly micro-blog like Facebook. It's not commercial, like LinkedIn. It simply allows any developer to register and have an instant meaningful blog, ready to go, categorized by tags, and devoted to anything programming. Then they create a project and they have another blog set aside entirely to the project. If they start a team, they can invite other members so they have a shared blog.
While the site is not ready to go until this weekend (still some style and minor function), I do need some volunteers who are interested in this idea to help test with registration, activation and logging in.
