    Running 2.0.8;
    Cannot update as our client has moved to a new server and will not give access to complete an update

    We still have full manager permissions

    In system settings, I have the file_manager_path set to "/var/www/vhosts/365villas.com/httpdocs/" (i've also tried it without the trailing slash).

    I have cleared the cache using the manager controls

    When I go to the files section or the file manager/browser, i get the error:

    Please specify a valid directory./var/www/vhosts/365villas.com/httpdocs/var/www/vhosts/365villas.com/httpdocs/

    So I guess somewhere I've got the file manager path and the site root path as the same values and they are being concatenated....?

    [just thought of that, changed file_manager_path to ./ and it all worked]

    Ok, so now it's fixed, where does modx read the document root from? is if from $_SERVER['DOCUMENT_ROOT'] or is it from a setting/config somewhere

      There are a few places where it gets this; in the root there is a config.core.php, then there is core/config/config.inc.php, connectors/config.core.php, and manager/config.core.php. There are so many places because Revo was designed to allow its files to be installed wherever you like, even outside of the web root.

      Be careful in the core/config/config.inc.php, there are a lot of lines where the path is indicated.

        FYI, the filemanager_path System Setting is deprecated and is completely ignored in recent versions of Revolution.
