Invalid UTF-8 sequence in argument?

Well when WinCache is installed, error comes back, even on PHP 5.3. Looks like WinCache has been the one stickin it to me. Would this be something MODx dev might want to check? ie: is it WinCache itself or is there something within MODx that doesn't like WinCache *shrugs*

I know next to nothing about IIS, so I can't really answer. I'm glad things are kind of working for you, though. It's not uncommon for people using IIS to have problems that most of us don't know how to solve.

Well, I can actually use MODx now, without errors. Not to mention modx and PHP error logs aren't completely filled to the bloody brim.

It would be nice to be able to leverage WinCache, considering it's purpose.

Thanks Susan, unfortunately Im not a programmer to the degree that is of use to me. Besides, unless that wincache-powered xPDOCache implementation fixes the error I get just by having WinCache installed (which is a requirement for it), I cant really use it. I don't know what it is but MODx doesn't like WinCache...or vice versa.

FWIW, similar to APC, WinCache consists of two different caches. An opcode cache, which caches PHP classes and code as it is included and executed, and a user cache (see xPDOWinCache) that allows you to manually cache data from your code via an API.

When I still had a working Windows 7 environment with IIS 7.5, both the opcode cache and user cache worked as expected. If it is not now, I'd love to have details of what is crashing.
