Dynamic page alias

Hi,

I have a simple question (with hopefully a simple answer).
I would like to use dynamic aliases.

For example:
/cars/brand/model

If a visitor goes to /cars/opel/astra I dont' want to manually make that page, but want Modx to search the database for a brand called Opel and a model called Astra.

How can this ben done?

I solved a similar kind of problem with a snippet on the 404-page.
But then the correct content is shown on the page but the header (logically) still says it's a 404

Use a plugin, and the OnPageNotFound event, to do the search and redirect the visitor.

Or you could redirect the user from the not found page in your snippet. The plug would be more transparent to the visitor, though.

You'll want to use sendForward() to forward (not redirect) the user to the Resource with the appropriate REQUEST/GET parameters set OnPageNotFound. This will send them to the Resource at the current URL they have requested (redirecting would change the URL). You have to end up on an actual Resource that is handling the view however; this will avoid the 404 header.
