with the first code block i get nothing, with the second code block i get:

The description displayed is the wrong description.

Weirdly, i am using the same template on another page and that page displays the correct description. On the page i am having issues with, I have tried deleting the entries, assigning a different template etc. etc. but whenever i try to add a new entry it always displays the same line of incorrect text.....

That works !!!

If i understand correctly, we are now no longer using the richtextrecentprojectsTV, so i should delete that TV and stick with the above? I'm not defining anything else in that particular TV, so in this instance it should be sufficient.

Wonder what the issue was with the TV though, very strange.

Thanks for your help, feel like i have been hitting my head against brickwall for ages

that's correct.

is it possbile you had this TV assigned to your template and filled with some content for this page?

Thanks really appreciate your help.

I don't believe that the TV was assigned to the template and filled with content - when i changed the other TV on the page (which did have the same description) it updated its own content but not that of the TV we were having issues with, which remained the same - even weirder !!

oh well, at least it is working now, so thanks
