Form Customization beyond resource create/edit

Hello,
I understand form customization on the create/edit resource page(s) - but I am curious to know if there is such a thing for other pages within the manager.

For example, I would like to significantly reduce the number of fields on the "Create User" page to say... First Name & Last Name only. All other inputs can go away.

Is there a (clean) way to accomplish that without hacking into the actual page?
