Is there no quick manager with Revolution? This is one of the biggest selling points I have to clients.

No, Revo does not have this feature. You can use Frontpage, and/or NewsPublisher to accomplish the same thing iirc.
what does iirc stand for? are these packages that can be downloaded or do they come with the standard 2.2.2 install?

iirc (if I recall correctly)
No packages come with the Revo install, not even tinyMCE. But they are available through package management and install quickly without need to build the snippets and chunks yourself like in Evo.
In Revo manager menu, chose System, then package management. Click the Download Extras button, and you'll see the repository.
thank you do you have a recommendation b/t the two: frontpage or newspublisher?

I would suggest Frontpage, Newspublisher requires more work to get working (styling etc.) and I'm not sure if it's been fixed to use multiple instances of TinyMCE on RTE fields.
Newspublisher works on Multi-Context sites Frontpage doesn't last I checked.
