manually installing package 2.2.1

Is it possible to manually install a package in MODX Revolution 2.2.1-pl (traditional)?

Downloaded an older version of a package to test with and added the transport.zip to core/packages. Reading http://rtfm.modx.com/display/revolution20/Installing+a+Package I can not find the "Add New Package" in System->Package Management.

What am I missing?

In package management, click the arrow on the "download Extras" button. Then chose "Search Locally for Packages".

The package you uploaded should then show up.

Yes, that is a little obscure - the main part of the button will open the MODx repository, and you have to click right on the little arrow to get the option to use local.

Left click has always worked for me.

I agree however, it could be clearer. The down arrow is more of a shortcut than an intuitive option. It makes MODX simple for veteran users, but obstructive for new users.
