[SOLVED] TinyMCE browse buttons missing

    Hi all,

    yesterday I made some changes to the media source (to assets/images/) in MODx Revo 2.2.2.
    Since then the browse button next to the image-url input field is gone missing.
    I attached an example of the crime scene with the last spot seen marked.

    I have tried to change the media source back to what it was but the button is still gone.
    Also I tried to completely uninstall and remove TinyMCE and then reinstalled it several times but no success.

    My media-source is working fine in files-tab.

    I have some errors about PHPthumb in error log which cannot create thumbs for certain files but i do not think that would be related.

    What did I do wrong?

    I am running on a shared hosting environment with PHP 5.2 and GD-library and ImageMick installed.

      Are you using Chrome by any chance? If so, disable plugins, see if it comes back. Or, check in FF to see if the browse button is available. I reported a plugin for chrome that caused this on a new chrome install within the past week. If you need, I can look it up again (iirc, it was some kind of password plugin that I did not install manually).

        I aam indeed using Google Chrome and checking this in Firefox and seeing the button was a welcome sight. Thanks for returning him.

        I guess in my case it was my AdBlock extension or Auto-refresh which I installed lately. Weird thing is i had this installed before and all kept working. But none the less this problem is solved.

          "TrueSuite Website Logon Extension" is the one that caused the button to disappear for me the last time. It may not be one particular extension that does it though. If you can figure out which one is the offender in your installation it might be helpful to report it here. This thread title is good and will show in searches.

            Disabling the extensions in my case was not enough to get the browse button back. I had to totally delete the Chrome extensions. In my case it was the AdBlock plus extension.
