Hi,
I built a MODx site at heartyoursmile.co.uk. My client is unable to upload images to the 'assets/images' directory using the admin area, but I can. She gets this error message: 'The Webserver does not have the necessary permissions to upload to the directory'.
We are both setup as administrators with full permissions. The folder is owned by apache, the group is apache and the directory has default permissions (755). When she tries to upload a file I get this in my error log:
[Thu Aug 09 19:52:34 2012] [error] [client 78.147.147.223] PHP Catchable fatal error: Argument 1 passed to xPDOObject::load() must be an instance of xPDO, instance of modX given in /var/www/vhosts/heartyoursmile.co.uk/httpdocs/core/xpdo/om/xpdoobject.class.php on line 404, referer:
http://www.heartyoursmile.co.uk/manager/?a=56
Everything is fine when I change the folder to be owned by the FTP user, a different group and 777 permissions. However I would of course like the folder to have the correct owner and permissions.
Does anyone have any ideas why my client cannot upload images and I can when the images folder is owned by apache?
