    Hello everybody.

I recent observed that 'static resources' can't make use of TVs (perhaps a thumbnail for frontend display). Unless I'm simply incorrect, can anyone tell me why static resources shouldn't be allowed to have a template assigned, just as weblinks are?

Is there any other reason weblinks can be assigned templates, except to grant access to TVs?

Static Resources should absolutely have access to Template Variables based on the selected Template. If they did not, it would be a bug.

Ah, I may be wrong, but I certainly wasn't clear.

I meant to say, last I looked I didn't seem to have the opportunity to *select* a template for my static resource, thus there wasn't a way in which I could get access to TVs.

The way you answered, now I suspect I'm just blind. I'll check again...

Yeah, I seem to be blind. You clearly can select a template, and TVs clearly are available.

I'm sorry to have wasted anybody's time. Feel free to delete this entire thread, if possible.

If you're using 2.2.4, at any rate, it's up there in the upper right corner just like any other resource.
