I was wondering if you guys can help. I am moving to a new host. I have changed the rb_base_dir in the mysql system_settings from
/home/username/public_html/assets/
to
/var/www/vhosts/mysite.com/httpdocs/assets/
and the filemanager_path from
/home/username/public_html/
to
/var/www/vhosts/mysite.com/httpdocs/
for some reason, the nav links are not resolving. What am I missing? is it an htaccess issue? By the way the .htaccess is named ht.access. Is that right?
Thanks.

If you’re using friendly URLs (mod_rewrite), you should rename ht.access to .htaccess.

Well, after changing to .htaccess the pages viewed fine... buy when i log in to the manager, first of all the login window looks generic. The button background to log in doesn’t appear. So, I have a path issue still. Of course I can’t make the changes in the administration manager since I can’t get it.
Again, here is the issue:
I changed hosts.
I changed the following in the mysql database _system_settings:
rb_base_dir
rb_base_url
filemanager_path
Are there any other places I should check paths?
Thanks.

Well, I got it to work... I realized that image were not on the server at all. After digging in a little more, my upload to the new server wasn’t complete. I use dreamweaver to transfer files... What do you folks here use? What is XAMPP and LAMP?
Thanks.

Dreamweaver on Mac for FTP ... bad idea. It’s just flakey. Try Transmit, Fetch or check MacUpdate or Versiontracker for other alternatives. (I use Transmit)
XAMPP and LAMP are web server configuration stacks ... XAMPP runs on local desktops and is really handy for testing (MAMP is another Mac Equivalent). LAMP stands for Linux Apache MySQL PHP ...
Good luck!

There are several fancy applications for web development for the Mac; here’s a couple of them
