Somewhat, but I'm afraid I still don't know the answers to these questions I've asked:

    1. Is the TV missing from the TV tab of the Create/Edit Resource panel or from the Elements tree, or both?

    2. When the TVs don't show up on the TV tab of the Create/Edit Resource panel, are those TVs attached to the Template set for the page being edited?

Sorry if i've not been clear.

The current scenario is that Admin have the 'Restricted' category in the Element Category Access' area:
      Category - 'Restricted'
      Min Role - 'Super User-0'
      Access Policy - 'Element
      Context - 'mgr'

I have also place the Template that uses the TV in the restricted category, The TV is not in this category.

I have turned on the 'view elements tree' and 'view_tv' in the Editors Access Policy called 'Content Editor'.

So in answer to your questions...
      1. The Editor can view the Elements Tree and all the TV's but they can't see the TV (attached to the Template placed in the Restricted Category) in their Create/Edit Resource panel.
      2. Yes the TV's are attached to the Template i have placed in the Restricted Category.

      Hope that helps

It's starting to sound like a bug. wink

Edit the TV itself and look at the Access Permissions tab. Make sure the TV is not a member of any restricted Resource groups (everything should be unchecked).

I assume there are no Form Customization rules that could be in play.

If it's a bug, a workaround might be to add the missing TV to its own Category and give the Editors explicit access to it with an Element Category Access ACL entry. I'm not sure it would work, but it's worth a try. You could also add it to a resource group that the user has access to on the TV's Access Permissions tab.

Hmm, i'd already tried giving Editors explicit access to the TV it's own category.
Oh well, I'll file it as a bug.

Thanks for your help all the same.
