Site very slow - slow downloading gallery items

Hey guys,

My website recently became really slow. It takes a few seconds to download the index.php and the the connector.php for the galleries can take up to 7 seconds to download.

Below I have attached the results from one of the tests. It shows that i must wait 6seconds before the connector.php starts to download. why is this?

Im with Godaddy - linux server, php 5.2

Run my site www.antsinmyspacebar.com through the speed test site, and see for yourself; http://www.webpagetest.org

I didn't change any settings on the modx or godaddy end. i just woke up today and the site was running ridiculously slow. Could this be a Godaddy problem? How would i know if it was?

Thanks, Barry

Ok so, I think it is fixed now.

It must have been a Godaddy thing because the site loads perfectly again!

Grrr i hate Godaddy, i want to move Hosts but I'm scared about moving my Modx site and losing data

Hello,

The speed issue you are noticing might be related to the database and webserver being on different servers, so there is some added delay, especially if those servers are getting hammered.

If you want to get away from GoDaddy, we do specialize in MODX hosting, and can handle the transfer for you.
