    Hi,

    I was wondering is anyone had any ideas about how to go about embedding applets in a modx site?

    I am trying to embed an applet with this code:

    <center>
    <script language="Javascript">

      var _app = navigator.appName;

      if (_app == 'Netscape') {
        document.write('<embed code="/assets/applets/1/2/fmtseq.class"',
                       'width="500"',
                       'height="700"',
                       'type="application/x-java-applet;version=1.6">');
        }
      else if (_app == 'Microsoft Internet Explorer') {
        document.write('<OBJECT ',
                       'classid="clsid:8AD9C840-044E-11D1-B3E9-00805F499D93"',
                       'width="500"',
                       'height="700">',
                       '<PARAM name="code" value="/assets/applets/1/2/fmtseq.class">',
                       '</OBJECT>');
        }
      else {
        document.write('<p>Sorry, unsupported browser.</p>');
        }

    </script>
    </center>

    But it doesn’t seem to be working for me. I have a .zip directory in a new directory I created called ’applets’. The .zip (aka jar) directory contains all the source files for the various applets I want to display on the page. I also have the source files for the applets in various directories.

    I am running modx 0.9.6

    Any help would rock!

    Thanks for your time.

    Cheers,

    Sarah smiley

      Just make a chunk or TV and use the HTML code you would use in any web page. There are some interesting discussions on embedding Flash, which is somewhat similar.
