Hi Guys,
Moving my modx revo 2.2.0 site from a shared hosting a/c to an amazon cloud with ubuntu 12.04, PHP Version 5.3.10-1, apache 2, mysql 5.5.24 and getting the error "Make sure your PHP session configuration is valid and working."
I moved site using the recommended methods and server has the revo requirements. Only thing is I have varnish cache running on new server.

Any ideas of the fix to "Make sure your PHP session configuration is valid and working."

Whats weird is I have ExpressionEngine working fine on this new server yet a fresh install of Modx Revo 2.2.4 also has this Error "Make sure your PHP session configuration is valid and working.". I have also excluded the setup folder from varnish cache. Anyone have Modx Revo working on Amazon Cloud?
I have cross checked PHP Session settings {php.ini and phpinfo} with other servers I have with Modx Revo running on and no setting differences stand out.
Any ideas?

Working fine on Amazon cloud, check permissions

quick howto

sudo touch core/config/config.inc.php
sudo mkdir -p core/cache/ assets/ core/components/
sudo chmod -R 777  core/cache/ assets/ core/packages/ core/export core/config core/components/

Hi,
Varnish Cache is whats causing the problem. I could install Modx Revo on an instance without Varnish and no issues. Anybody get modx working with Varnish on EC2?
