    Okay-- right after I posted that, I found a place where I forgot a /. I changed it and am no longer receiving the fatal error. I'm now back to seeing a list of links on my dashboard that are not really links. Any thoughts on what this might be now?

      I can't find the config.inc.php file you speak of that I need to have the same info in three different places... I've checked and my config.core.php file is in those three places. It has this code in it:

      <?php
      define('MODX_CORE_PATH', '/home/demarc6/public_html/ammoniagauge/modx/core/');
      define('MODX_CONFIG_KEY', 'config');
      ?>

        Sorry, I meant to say config.core.php. Everything you have looks correct and the front-end of the site seems to look fine. Is it?

        Run setup, if you haven't already (yoursite.com/modx/setup). Make sure "Update Existing Site" is checked.

        BTW, did you transfer the files individually with FTP? If so, you may just have a missing or corrupted file.

          Okay- I think I figured it out... My setup file has disappeared. I moved it in there this morning and it's no longer there. I just ran setup and at the login phase of the re-install it said that the setup/index.php was not found. When I uploaded the files, I took a complete download of Modx, uploaded, and unzipped it in the location where it is right now. So... should I re-install an entire, new modx, or somehow manually move each setup file over? Is there a way to just put setup in there quickly? Each time I try the cpanel upload, it sends me to the smallest css/php files, vs. being able to upload the entire setup file. Hopefully, this will solve my problem and then I can get out of your hair. smiley

            Hi-- SOLVED this by just deleting all the old files and starting from scratch with the modx zipped file in my cpanel file manager. Have a new issue now, so am closing this thread and starting a new one.
