Two questions about uploading files

Hello!

I have a two questions.

1. Is it possible to rename files while uploading via File Manager? For example to rename 1.jpg to lh2gb5sg.jpg?

2. Is it possible to resize big photos while uploading via File Manager? I mean to resize 2800x2100 pixels photo to 1000x800? I know about DirectResize, but I don't think that keeping large unuseful photos on the server is a good idea.

It's very useful features for multi-manager-sites. I'll be glad to donate the development of them.

1. Yes you can rename files via the manager. In the File tab right click on the file you wish to rename and you should see a menu that says Rename at the top.

2. I am not aware of any default ability to resize images via the File Manager. There might be some extra that does this. But you can use PHPThumbOf: http://modx.com/extras/package/phpthumbof to resize the output to browser.
