problem with image TV

Hi all
I’m having a strange problem with a TV for inserting an image after following the documentation. Specifically, I’ve created a TV called [*imagecol*] and set it to Input Type ’Image’. From there I inserted the following into my template in the appropriate place:

<div id="DetailImageCol">
[*imagecol*]
</div>

The image formatting control appears in the manager and I search for and locate an image, but when I preview the page there is no actual image in the [*imagecol*] location, only the path to the image (assets/images/image_x.jpg). So, I gather from this that my TV is ’there’, but not rendering the image.

I can guess that there’s something very simple missing here - can anyone tell me what please???

Did you set the output widget to image type?
