Item generation in Breadcrumbs 1.1.0

I MODX People,

I have two issues with the recent Breadcrumbs 1.1.0:

1)
I get something like


The » is not where it belongs.

2)
If I am three levels deep, I get the following lines in the end:

Which is not correct, as I have 4 <li> now instead of 3. The result is a additional space between two elements.

Where can I start to fix this?

In general, when asking a question regarding the rendering of a Snippet, you should also post your Snippet call and the Chunks that may be causing the problem. It's easier to find the answer that way.

According to your call, you didn't change which Chunks you were using. Did you adjust the original Breadcrumbs chunks in any way? If so, you'll have to post them here too... If you did not modify the Chunks, we should know that too.


Note on Package-provided Chunks: In general, it is best not to adjust the Chunks that come with a Package as they will be overwritten if you ever patch the Snippet. Most of these have a way to designate the Chunks you are using, so you can copy the Chunks, modify them and adjust your Snippet call.

I didnt notice that breadcrumbs came with its own chunks. I cant find them in my chunks folder.

No, if I edited a chunk which serves as a template, I'd know there to start digging and would have postet that at least with the snippet call

Maybe I should switch to BreadCrumb instead, as Breadcrumbs seems to be older than revo itself

The chunks are in there, but I prefer BreadCrumb myself.

My Breadcrumbs does not add the itemtype attribute, and yours does. Are you modifying them in any way via JavaScript? [ed. note: fuzzicallogic last edited this post 14 years, 2 months ago.]

If there were chunks, they hid well from me

I switched to BreadCrumb. I used Breadcrumbs because the packege wasnt much older than the BreadCrumb package. In the rtfm docs, its plain that the script itself is about two years older than the package. So I mistook it for "up to date".
