If you have severe performance problems with 0.9.6 and you upgrade from 0.9.5, login in to your manager and go to Resources tab, then click on Manage Resources. Find the Plugins tab, click on Template Switcher, and then delete it!

This plugins dont let your system to cache your content, and that make the sites slow.

Hope it helps (i know this is a know thing)

ehmmm thanks, I totally missed any previous discussions on this; I checked in my Resources->plugins and I have discovered I have 2 TemplateSwitchers in there; both in a 0.9.6 install and a 0.9.5 one!

I am not using it and I can easily delete it but... can’t it just be disabled by assignement to a different system event?
Will it be fixed in future versions or just dropped/deprecated ??!?

lukwe, I have seen Ryan recommend a couple of times to delete it completely. I am not sure why and if you can just disable it.
