I have the friendly URLs and friendly alias paths turned on. The auto links, like from Wayfinder, render folder links as "domain.com/folder1/folder2.html". but, I’d like it render as "domain.com/folder1/folder2". Is this possible?

I believe the SEO-Strict plugin deals with this issue for the current releases. In future releases, you will be able to customize the FURL suffixes based on content-type and/or other meta information (such as if it’s a container or not).

Thanks for the idea. I installed the plugin. It will rewrite the URLs in the browser, but it doesn’t seem to help Wayfinder generate the correct-looking links. Maybe this isn’t possible?

I thought the plugin would rewrite the URLs in the content (i.e. generated by Wayfinder) as well, but I’ve not used the plugin myself. I would suggest asking in the support thread for the plugin.

MODx can do this itself without the plugin (if I understand correctly).

Just go to Tools > Friendly URLs >Suffix for friendly URLs: in the Manager

            and set it to: /

Don’t add a prefix. then your paths will be in the format:

            example.com/folder1/folder2/

Go to the Plugin configuration for SEO Strict URLs and set "Edit document links" to 1.Quote from: ram at Jul 31, 2007, 04:55 PM

No, it can’t. The suffix in the MODx FURL configuration will be applied to all documents, not just containers.

Ooops. Missed that. I tend to make all links to HTML documents as links to directories.
