    Hi board.

I have done a couple of things very wrong and would like some help from you guys.

First of: I am shiny new in the Modx arena, so please be aware that I might not understand all right away.

    Now to the issue.

I had installed and configured CAPTCHA to be used at login at the manager login form.
Now this turned out to be a bad idea because the CAPTCHA stuff was kinda...buggy. So there where no image at all. Never mind how many times I refreshed, there never came up any image, so I could - ofcourse - not login at all.

Then I thougth I was a wise guy so i deleted all CAPTCHA files and folders that I could find via FTP in hope of solving the issue.

This had no effect at all because it is a setting to the core system login properties.

    How can I fix this?

At least I just wants to login to the site so I can do a backup. This way I could do a re-install.

You need to edit the modx_system_settings table in PhpMyAdmin (via cPanel) and set the captcha.enabled setting to 0, then delete all files in the core/cache directory before trying to log in. That will turn Captcha off.
