Uploading allowed file types...not allowed

This is a similar issue I was having with a revo site on the same server. We updated the php.ini so that the max file upload size is 8MB.

For this site, Evo 1.0.4, I cannot upload allowed file types (jpeg, jpg, pdf) to the respective folders.

When I try to upload, it acts like it's going, then nothing. Other times, it wont upload at all and says file type not allowed; and they're standard files in the Tool > Config for allowed file types.

Sometimes an image file will have an upper case file type (image.JPG or image.GIF) and this will prevent the upload. You either need to rename your image, or add the specific file extension to the list in the Config. This could also be set in the individual user's profile, which will override the default site-wide setting.

I wish the issue was that simple. I checked and doubled checked. These files are either "jpg" or "pdf" - both of which are listed by default in the Config list.

Then it may be some kind of server configuration; perhaps something to do with an suhosin extension or some other server security settings.

I presume you have checked the directory permissions, and they all have the required write permissions.

Yea, all the folders are 777 right now. As for server configs, this is the only domain on this server that's having this issue (to my knowledge). My sites in Revo had an upload limit issue which we made a global change to upload max size of 8M.

So, I'm at a loss for what the issue could be.
