Do all the installations with problems have the same thing common?
I have a "custom" Package-provider setup for the SimpleCart installation. Could this possible be causing this error?

I don't think so.. the error is caused for something else.
I also have this error with non SimpleCart sites.
okay. I thought I saw some settings they may share.

Never thought about this, and also because that part is encrypted in SimpleCart.. this has something to do with the validation of the license for the package provider I made. Will fix this in the next version!

Haha.. Working on it today.. just got fixed this and hopefully later on today a new release of SimpleCart
Also, don't do what I did, and delete your provider entry thinking it might get rid of these errors - or simplecart will no longer work. :p

If you remove the provider and add it again, dont forget to bind the provider to the simplecart package again (via "view details" on the package).
