I can't install MODX REVOLUTION ver2.2.4.
My PC's status is below:

XAMPP version:1.7.4

mysql:5.0.7

I could install EVOLUTION with no trouble.
But I can't revo.
I've got some infomation about installation.
It may be caused 64bit machine.
Please give me advice.I want to touch REVOLUTION.
daisuke, That's pretty much my setup (though I have Vista Ultimate with both 32-bit and 64-bit).
XAMPP 1.7.4 did require some tweaking. For one thing, I think the rewrite engine is turned off by default (though that should affect Evolution too). What exactly are you seeing when you try to install 2.2.4?

I don't remember what I'd seen sites.
In my case I got this message on display
"503 Error
Could not load MODX config file."
Should I do to install MODX?

I tried to change php-pear.ini file. But I can't step forward..
Make sure you don't have an .htaccess file in the MODX root (rename it if you do), and check the paths in core/config/config.inc.php and setup/includes/config.core.php.

I have an ht.access file in the modx root.
core/config/config.inc.php file isn't exist. Is the config.inc.php file necessary?
And setup/includes/config.core.php file is exist, But I can't find the paths.
Yes, MODX won't run without the config file. It's created by MODX when you run Setup.
It sounds like you need to run setup by going to
http://localhost/yoursite/setup in your browser.

I got it. Now I can see REVOLUTION dash board. is it OK?
If you can see the dashboard, you should be OK, but make sure the front-end shows up too (after you create a resource or two).
