not familiar with TMCE, I did not find any clue on this : is there a way to assign a specific MediaSource to the 'modxlink' and 'imageinsert' (ie the buttons to insert a link or an image )

I don't think I'm entirely sure what you are trying to acheive but working on my assumptions I can tell you how I accompolished this in a big and mixed organizaiton. I'm using meida sources and resource groups to quarantine respective users to certain folders. When they click on the Insert Image button they are then able to select from the media source they want to use in the browser window. Hope this helps a bit or at least spurs the thought process.

thanks for your reply. but it's not what i'm trying to achieve. I know the users are able to select the media source they want to use, and it's that specific behavior I'd like to prevent.
I would like my user not to be able to select any media source, but I want to affect a specific media source (and only one) to TMCE and not see the 'media source selector' in the browser...
