So I've read
http://rtfm.modx.com/display/revolution20/Developing+an+Extra+in+MODX+Revolution
and
http://rtfm.modx.com/display/revolution20/Developing+an+Extra+in+MODX+Revolution%2C+Part+II+-+MODX+2.1+and+Earlier
and they're fine. I haven't gone through the API docs yet, because I don't have the patience of a saint. Nowhere can I find any docs on how modx handles controllers, processors and actions.
I've followed the Doodles tutorial with limited success. However I have a non-grid based Add-on that I'm writing and it doesn't fit the tutorial for saving data. Which means I have no idea how to go about it.
In this specific instance I have
FooBar.window.UpdateFooBar = new MODx.Window({
title: _('foobar.foobar_update'),
width:600,
height:400,
id:'foobar-update-window',
url: FooBar.config.connectorUrl,
baseParams: {
action: 'mgr/foobar/update'
},
fields: [{
xtype: 'hidden',
name: 'some-parent',
value: 1
},{
xtype: 'hidden',
name: 'some-id'
},{
xtype: 'datefield'
,fieldLabel: _('foobar.date')
,name: 'date'
,anchor: '100%'
},{
xtype: 'textfield'
,fieldLabel: _('foobar.name')
,name: 'name'
,anchor: '100%'
},{
xtype: 'textarea'
,fieldLabel: _('foobar.description')
,name: 'description'
,anchor: '100%'
}]
});
but this isn't attached to a grid and each of those textareas is changing a property in a many-many relationship.
To be honest what I'm trying to do is probably too complex to get help with on a forum, but my real question is, where are the docs?
