    Hello,

I’ve been using MODx for about a week and I thus far I love it and can see using it from now on for all my web projects (once I figure out forms that is, but that’s later.)

I’m having a little difficulty understanding how the Wayfinder snippet functions (despite reading the documentation.)

Here is the situation. I have x amount of top level pages and 2 pages that are children of a top level page (i’m guessing that explicit folders are no longer part of the document tree?)

I have activated the Show Menu option in each page but I want to only display the menu items of the child pages when the user clicks on the parent link. I can and have made this possible with CSS. However, the display of these menu items also be controlled by the Wayfinder level setting? I’ve played with it but it doesn’t seem to do anything (which means I don’t know what I’m doing.)

The home page has a different layout then the body pages and I only want to show top level items on that page. Again, I’m using CSS to hide the unordered list nested in a list item but I’d rather not have that nested list display at all (because mobile and other devices may ignore the display: hide) condition.

Is it possible to control display output with parameters from the Wayfinder?

Add &hideSubMenus=`1` to the snippet call

Thank you. Works wonderfully. As usual my mind was stuck on doing it one way when a perfectly obvious solution was available.
