Media Source Access returns only numbers for Access Policies? Unable to update.

I have a custom user group with limited permissions. When I right-click that usergroup and edit it, the Media Source Access tab lists several rules I made for various TVs (each using a different media source). When I try to update the Media Source Access, the Access Policy dropdown is broken -- it lists only the ID of the Access Policy, but I can't change it.

This is on a 2.2.4 site, recently upgraded from 2.2.3. I can't reproduce the behavior on a fresh install of 2.2.4. What might cause that form to fail in its Ajax lookup of Access Policies? Nothing in the error log.

I assume that you've tried manually deleting all files in the core/cache directory and clearing your browser cache and cookies. A leftover cookie can cause a lot of weirdness in the Manager.

Next, I'd try turning off the compress_js and maybe compress_css System Settings.

Everettg_99 did you get this resolved? I just updated a 2.2.2 install to 2.2.4 and now when I go to add a User Group to a Media Source the Policy drop down menu flashing loading then is blank. It will not allow me to select the dropdown again until I close the window and open a new one. Then the cycle continues.

No, but I'm not working on that particular site any more... I think we restored from backup and moved servers, and by then a lot of other things changed too...

Usually the blank pages has something to do with permissions, so re-running the setup step can catch a lot of them. Have you tried Bob's suggestions above?

Try this...

I couldn't add an access policy either as the dropdown was empty.
I emptied the cache, deleted cookies/browser cache, turned off compress_js and compress_css but still no access policies to choose from in the dropdown.

On the Access Policies page I noticed the Media Source Admin had no permissions so I exported from another 2.2.4 install the Media Source Admin (it should have 7 of 7), imported it into my new site (it imports as a duplicate) and then deleted the old one and renamed the duplicate.
I was then able to assign access policies.

I've attached the media source admin policy with all 7 permissions...so you should be able to import that if there's no other install available.
