After a updatung to v. 2.2.4 I'm blocked from the Manager. Any login data will be denied.
I looked around at the forum and find a way to reset that with mysql, but that hint is 7 years old and the db changed a lot since then.
Any more actual help?
Thank you

Chances are it's session data not the login username and password. If you're using Firefox or a webkit browser, use the web inspector to delete all cookies related to the domain and see if you can log in then. Otherwise, though it's not the exact same scenario you can look at this:

If that doesn't work, you can then look at this to reset your password in Revo (which is a little more complex these days due to new PBKDF2 hashed passwords:

Hello,
Just to make sure, you didn't upgrade the site from Evolution did you? There isn't a direct upgrade path so that will cause problems.

Ahh, good point Patrick. Yes, you cannot upgrade directly from 0.9.x to Revo. You'd need to get to 1.0.5 and then use Provisioner to migrate the content. Additionally, all the addons will need to be replaced and updated.

If you did upgrade from a Revolution version and clearing the cookies doesn't help, one solution is to create a brand new install of MODX and then use PhpMyAdmin to copy the fields from the admin record of the modx_users table in that fresh (hopefully working) install to your broken install.
That will let you log in using the credentials you set on the fresh install.

PLEASE, PLEASE specify the version of MODX you are using.

Bob, that was an excellent hint! I'll try that on two of my sites with the same issue...
Thank you all.
In the meantime I set up a new installation and rebuilt the whole structure. Works fine now.
