I created a extra for MODX Revolution that I think could be useful to others, called SocialStream:
https://github.com/jgulledge19/SocialStream. It can take streams from Twitter, Facebook, others and is easy to extend to pull in additional places. It is fully functional and works well but I don't have time to make/support this as an official Extra. You can use this however you like. If you are a MODX/PHP developer and if you find it useful consider taking the code to make an official extra.
