PHP Version 5.3.6
MODX Evolution Version 1.0.6
I have never ran into this issue before when building sites in MODx
But for some reason this latest site is adding backslashes every time I save a chunk or template
I saw in other post disabling magic quotes in your php.ini file but that didn't seem to work...
Now this is the first time I've used shared hosting so this site is not in the root folder but I don't see how that would be making this happen....
Super confused... please help!!
EDIT: Seem that I'm just not editing the correct php.ini file can someone please explain how to edit the apache server php.ini file or where to find it? and also how to restart the server? I'm a total noob when it comes to this apache stuff..

did you ensure that your gpc magic quotes were turned off? also have you removed all the extra back slashes from a document and tried re-saving?

Hey Charles, yeah I tried deleting and saving. It happens everytime.
Look like I just need to know to find this php.file that the apache server uses. I have no idea where it is
So I take it the php.ini in the root of your server is the correct file. And I added the lines to disable magic quotes.
I think I just need to restart my server so it re-reads the file but I cant figure out how to restart it?
you need to put the php.ini into the absolute root, i made that mistake once.
magic_quotes_gpc = Off
else indeed contact ur host.
Evolution user, I like the back-end speed and simplicity
