Being a total Revo convert, I've built a base site to jump start my builds. This base site has all my must-have components, TVs, permissions, etc. already to go. The idea is to not waste time on all the routine stuff and get going with the project-specific stuff.
So, now that I have that, has anyone come up with a killer strategy to move a base install like that to a new account, either on the same server or another one, and have it all work great?
I've looked into PackMan but it doesn't seem to go far enough. It doesn't seem to pack up everything in one shot. For instance, I don't see if/where it packs up all the TVs I've created. Or, the categories, resources, etc.
The other route we've tried is to zip up the base site and do a db dump and move that. Okay, basic success there but there has to be an easier/faster way. This route always seems to be imperfect. Directory permissions change and other little bugaboos that need to be ironed out on each install.
Anyone have any advice? Thanks in advance.
