I have been working with Modx Revo now for going on 2 years, so I am still relatively new to it and don't pretend to understand or know everything. But I have to say, I just upgraded my Dev version of the site I work on with 2.2.3 and the upgrade went off without a single problem!
I am very excited about the future of MODX!
