File Tree directories not visible or editable

Fresh install of 2.2.3

On the File Tree, when I create a new directory it doesn't show in the tree. Directories are created but not shown. The only directory that shows (since install) is Media. However, this is not editable. Nothing happens when I right click it and uploads to this directory fail.

Would be grateful for any pointers...

This is a known issue.

2.2.4-pl will be posted shortly.

This bug is marked as fixed in 2.2.4 but my issue described here:

still occurs on 2.2.4 and I suspect it's related to this bug.

2.2.4 fixed the issue outlined above for me.

Having said that I'm now having another issue which may have been introduced with 2.2.4. I can't hide the Filesystem under the Files Tree due to a missing Media Source User Group Policy.
