    Is there a way to have MODX list all available countries for the Login Register Snippet (and also the UpdateProfile Snippet)?

    FormIt has a snippet for this: http://rtfm.modx.com/display/ADDON/FormIt.FormItCountryOptions

    Or is that the best option?

      Well,
      I had the same needing, I solved with the snippet FormItCountryOptions after reading your post!
      Thank you...

      Anyway I think it would be the best to use the built in list of Countries in MODx, also because they are already translated...

        @Everett

        did you ever figure that out?

        i too am using the "LOGIN" Extra & need the built-in list of countries for user REGISTERation.

        i'm not sure if you can mix the Formit options with the Login/Register forms.

        ...EDITED OUT THE REST DUE TO FINDING THE ANSWER...

        I FOUND THE SOLUTION (for me) @ https://rtfm.modx.com/extras/revo/login/login.tutorials/login.extended-user-profiles#Login.ExtendedUserProfiles-Variations

        SCROLL TO THE VERY BOTTOM OF THE PAGE, TO THE "VARIATIONS" SECTION.
        IT WORKS OUTTA-THE-BOX, BUT YOU DO HAVE TO INSTALL FORMIT FOR IT TO WORK. BUT THAT'S IT. YOU DON'T HAVE TO DO ANYTHING ELSE WITH FORMIT IF YOU DON'T WANT.

          Yeah formit is designed basically to be used by any other tool, you don't have to worry much about formit, usually. It just creates the simplist of small dialogs and spaces for info. I have never had to even think about formit once, yeah its there but it just works and doesn't need usually to be messed with, unless you are trying to get a custom look, which would probably mean remove the formit call entirely and just make it yourself.

            thanks nuan88 - good to know!
            i had been concerned about installing too many "Extras", but see now how valuable & lowkey formit can be.
