Install problem with Revo 2.2.3

Hi, first post here so please be gentle!

Just tried installing Revo ver. 2.2.3. All seems to go well until final install step. Database connects up fine. All the checks go through ok. Then I get the following message after clicking the install button:

"The install failed because MODX could not unpack the .../web/core/packages/core.transport.zip package. Make sure that the .../web/core/packages/core.transport.zip file exists and is writable, and that you have made the .../web/core/packages/ directory writable."

Permissions for core.transport.zip are currently set to 644 (I've also tried 666). While folders 'core' and 'packages' are set to 755 (have also tried 777).

My host is running PHP 5.2.6 and MSQL 5.0.5

Any ideas? I'm at a loss here now...

Did you use the traditional or advanced distribution?

Traditional distribution.

I ended up trying with a different host which solved to problem. I still have no idea what caused the problem though.
