Upload with my packages

Greetings!
I installed modx in local using xampp. Now I decided to upload my work via ftp.
How should I upload it together its packages, chunks and snippets? Is that possible? I want to upload everything I did.

Don't Forget the Database
MODX stores some path data in its database! When you move servers, you may have to update the workspaces table, otherwise the manager page may show a white page.

When you installed Modx you would have created a database for it, you will need to login to PHPMyAdmin on your localhost and export your database, then on your hosting account create a new database and import your database into it.

As far as I remember you no longer have to edit the workspaces table so don't worry about that bit.

I uploaded and extracted it already, Is it correct to access my files in mysitename.edu/modx? what if I want to see it as www.sitename.edu ?is that possible?

And how to keep my data secured from hacking?

I'm more confused now. Can I just install a new modx and just import data from phpmyadmin? the problem is my extras,assets and other components.

help me please I'm new in modx.
