I searched for an answer to this problem, but it looks like I am the only one having it... or I suck at searching.

My issue is that when I post a link to Facebook (through Facebook or HootSuite) for a new article on my site (http://thequestforzest.com) no thumbnail shows up with the link information.

If I post the same link to Google+, no problem.

Does anyone have any idea where I can start looking to fix this? I'm on Revo 2.2.1. I've set my Cache expiration times to 0. My Session Cookie is 1800 seconds.

Let em know what other info I can give to help and thanks in advance for any advice.

      Hey Josh,

Knowing what to look for is more than half the problem usually.
      Try looking for Open Graph.

It goes something like ... adding <og:title> and <og:description> and similar tags to your html, you can add meta information for Facebook and other social networks. These tags describe your page to FB when it retrieves URL (after you post the link) when FB scans for <og:title> and <og:description> and <og:image>. By embedding these tags in your HTML you can control how FB will display your link on FB. Without these tags, FB has to make a best guess, based on your HTML and often includes unexpected text and image.

There is a Facebook Linter tool that you can use to debug your page. Just put in the URL you're going to post to FB. Linter will show if you have coded your og tags properly.

Here is a link to that "Linter" Facebook Debug tool: https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/

But I agree with the OP, it sucks that it's not automatic anymore. Or at least not consistent.

The Open Graph works fine if you use TV's to input all of your images, but not if you're embedding the image directly into the blog.
