Multiple context using same resource

Hi,

I'm trying to figure out how multiple context can use 1 resource without having to create a unique resource within each context.

Example:

www.web.com\resource1

The url www.context123.com\resource1 should display the same page as
www.web.com\resource1 without having to create resource1 in this and any other context i make.

You can use a weblink or symlink for the resource in the second context.

How about if you have 2 different templates on each context:

www.web.com\resource1 - using template 1
www.context123.com\resource1 - template 2

Do you think those that resource1 will use the same template?

If you want to use different templates... that's tough. You could use getResourceField (http://rtfm.modx.com/display/ADDON/getResourceField) to grab the fields from one Resource and put them in another.

You might be able to use an actual page for the second one with a snippet using $modx->sendForward('url/of/first/page').

IIRC, sendForward() will use the template of the page with the snippet tag. You could use URI and Freeze URI on the second page to set the URL of the displayed page.
