Manager - sometimes renders blank areas, buttons unresponsive

I've been reading a lot of threads on the forums trying to solve similar issues with the manager appearing blank or parts not appearing properly.

I fear that my problem has been something brewing for a while. The manager has frozen before with parts of buttons disappearing. Previously after emptying the cache it all resolved. This happened twice already but this last time seems more serious.

Here is an image of how the manager looks. Users can't logout as all buttons became unresponsive.

Following the forums here are my attempts to resolve;
1. clear core/cache folder
2. clear browser cookies and cache
3. set compress_js and compress_css to 0
4. kick-out users by truncating modx_session with an empty

I've repeated this three times in case I'd missed anything but no fix... now I'm tearing my hair out.

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

I'm going to guess your problem may be somewhat related to the fact you are using zeus instead of a more common web server. Can you try switching the server over to apache for testing? If that's not very easy I can set you up with a test account on one of our servers.

I'll admit, I don't know much about zeus personally, so that may not be the issue, but it's my first guess as it could handle sessions and such differently.
