Resource Template is different on screen than in database

Hello,

I have a Resource and attach it to a Template.
Template has ID 4 in the database.

When I select the Template, it changes correctly. Screen refreshes and I hit Save.
Then I go to another Resource and go back to the previous Resource.

The "Uses Template" box shows "0". (not "empty").
This is weird...

Then I check the database and the Resource (in modx_site_content) says for the template field '4'.
but the screen says '0'.


Also, the checkboxes "Cacheable" and "Empty Cache" get mixed up for this Resource after a Save.
First checking one and unchecking the other. And automagically they are switched after returning !!

The site itself show an blank page for this Resource.

MODX logfile (in core/cache/logs) shows no errors.

I don't have the faintest idea what is going on here, and this instability worries me a bit.

PS: Point of order: Can somebody build a decent Search function in this forum? Like being able to search only in one subforum? And search on title and/or content. Thanks.

Try deleting all files in the core/cache directory.

There is an issue with changing and saving a template when your various settings for date/timezone don't match. If it works properly when you change the template in QuickEdit, that's usually the problem.


You can also try turning off the compress_js and maybe compress_css System Settings.

Thanks for the effort you took to answer my question.

I am sorry to say that I deleted my Revo environment for this website after encountering a lot more strange behaviours in Revo 2.2.2-pl.

Since I am in the business of building websites for customers, I have to make my deadlines.
So, I switched back to good old Evolution and will stick to that for the time being.
Although I am a bit worried with Evo and the discussions from Maya and Stephanie.

Revo 2.2.2 newest release not stable enough for me, and Evo in peril by the forks and fights in the community. Is MODX in the future the stable CMS and Community it has always been?
(Well, that's another discussion, not for this thread)
